The WRLS is organized for educational and
scientific purposes, and especially to promote, encourage, and foster the
development and improvement of the genus Lilium and public
interest therein.
Our interest in education goes beyond our membership and viewers of this
web site. WRLS sponsors
annual scholarships to students in selected educational institutions.
The scholarships are in the amount of $300 each. The institutions which
currently award these WRLS scholarships include at present:
- Chippewa Valley Technical College, Eau Claire, WI USA

Qualifications
To be eligible to receive a WRLS scholarship the student must meet these
qualifications:
- Must be enrolled as a student in good standing at one of the institutions
listed above.
- Must be persuing an interest in horticulture or related area.
Selection of the recipient is done by the awarding institution. These
scholarships are financed from income derived from WRLS activities,
primarily the bulb sales.
